Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is an inspirational book that chronicles the fifteen-year adventures of four college friends. It tells the tale of Eytan, Sam, Alec, and Daniel—a group of four men having a friendship birthed in their college years and strengthened over the course of two decades by a series of intense travel adventures known to them as 'Man Mission'.

When the concept of Man Mission was first conceived, it seemed like a whimsical daydream spawned in the minds of four idling youths basking under a lazy afternoon sun on their campus that may not even live past the sunset. So it was really surprising when it resurfaced years later, this time as a getaway trip for Eytan and his friends to indulge in all the macho activities they could think of during a transitional period when they were trying to get all the pieces of their life together.

Following its maiden success, Man Mission firmly inserted its place in the lives of Eytan and his friends, metamorphosing into a yearly vacation that occurred without fail for fifteen years. The rules of Man Mission were simple: avoid all external influences and gadgets, engage in backbreaking exercises to get to your destination, and indulge in the cuisines and way of life native to where you are along the way.

The author's pen mastery is brought to bear in this book, as he articulately depicts the sceneries and landscapes he visits in his travels in a way that evokes the reader to imagine them as seen through his eyes. The diversity in culture and traditions of some of the visited regions in this book are beautiful to read unfold from page to page. It's also praiseworthy that the author ensures that the recurring flashbacks in this novel don't interfere with the reader's natural reading rhythm.

Each of the characters in this novel has well-defined roles and full closure, making them a delight to read about. A noteworthy theme spotlighted in this book is the need to cultivate genuine friendship. At some point in each of their lives, Eytan and his friends went through one form of crisis or the other, but it was then they had opportunities to further deepen the connection they had with each other. Their experiences are a testament to the fact that crisis doesn't only ruin relationships, but it can also be a tool to strengthen both familial and friendhood ties.

This book was a refreshing and thrilling book from start to finish; I found nothing to dislike in it. This book is exceptionally well-edited, as I found no spelling or grammatical errors in it. For all the reasons listed above, I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I would recommend this book to travel enthusiasts, as the diverse locations, cultures, and interactions highlighted in this book will captivate their attention.
