Hearts Set Free by Jess Lederman is an inspirational novel that tells a tale of love, the supernatural, redemption, adventure, the Christian faith, and the love of God. This book involves historical characters from the 19th century to the 20th century and is a tapestry of different characters whose lives are connected in a church in Las Vegas. The author immerses the readers in the lives of these historical characters, revealing the struggles they faced and the story of their redemption. We witness how they overcame their challenges to embrace the love of God. The book is divided into four parts and forty-eight chapters, guiding us through the tale of redemption for a fallen man. We are introduced to the church of The Heart Set Free, explore the persecution the church faced, witness how these characters grew strong through their sufferings, and finally, experience a new dawn. If you want to discover how these characters' lives were transformed through life-changing experiences, then this book is a must-read for you.

I was captivated by the author's skill in intertwining the stories of diverse characters from various locations and creating meaningful connections. From Alaska to Las Vegas, the narrative highlights the unwavering determination and commitment of Yura Noongwook, a wife on a seven-year journey in search of her husband. Her relentless pursuit and steadfastness showcase a powerful tale of love and resilience.

David Gold emerges as my favorite character in the book; his intense quest to find God, coupled with dissatisfaction with his successful yet incomplete life, eventually leads to redemption. Despite a thriving career, he feels a void, sensing that God is distant. His story serves as an inspiration to those seeking deeper meaning in life. Another noteworthy character is Luke Noongwook, who is unfamiliar with the gospel until he hears about a loving father. His admirable desire to study the word and learn about Christ, along with his patient love for Julia, waiting until she is ready to marry, adds a phenomenal dimension to the narrative.

The book is beautifully scripted, and there was nothing I disliked about it. I commend the author for his knowledge, research on historical characters, and seamless intersection of the stories. Additionally, the excellent graphic descriptions of scenes added to my overall positive experience with the book. It is a well-crafted and engaging piece of literature.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because of the captivating information in it. I recommend this book to all lovers of Christian and inspirational fiction and anyone who is interested in reading about inspirational and life-changing stories.
