[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "The Atlantis Cure" by Pierce Roberts.]

The Atlantis Cure is the fourth book of Pierce Roberts' Destroyer series. Joseph, Jules, Jean, Rick, Brad, Fred, Tom, Kate, Alice, and Adele are back to save the world from the clutches of a malevolent destroyer. Their world is ravaged by pandemics. All the major economies are in shambles. To make matters worse, a Russian scientist decides to use his secret bioweapon to wreak more havoc. If his bioweapon falls in the hands of an evil world leader, the human race can very well head toward true extinction.

Will Joseph's great-grandfather and Atlantean ancestors let that happen? Or will they help Joseph and his friends to find a cure to the diseases plaguing the world and put a stop to the dictator bent on destroying humanity?

Pierce Roberts is a brilliant author. He masterfully marries fantasy with realism. All the fantastical elements in this book have a strong scientific basis that makes them utterly believable. It is evident that Roberts has done his research. Even the scientific aspects are clearly and logically explained. Also, I love how he gives us a detailed historical background. One of my favorite aspects of the book was the glimpse into the lives of Rotar and the Atlanteans. It actually made me believe that there is a possibility that Atlantis truly existed. Also, I liked the way he portrayed world politics. I learned a lot from the glimpses into the White House and the insights into North Korean politics.

The book boasts of a well-developed cast of characters. I loved reading about Joseph, his Native American heritage, and his bond with Billy Eagles as well as his young family. I must say Alice is really a supportive wife. Brad is one of my favorites. He added a dose of humor at the most unexpected of times. Jean and Adele make a wonderful couple. Jules is great as well. Garret is brilliant while Rick is an enigma. I feel without Rick and his tactical intelligence nothing would have been feasible. Paul Bruyére left a mark as well.

Though The Atlantis Cure is the fourth book in a series, it can easily be read as a standalone. Roberts seamlessly includes essential details about the previous books without giving any spoilers.

Overall, I truly enjoyed reading The Atlantis Cure. The only thing that I think can be considered a drawback is that I found more than ten errors. These errors are minor and do not affect the reading flow as such. Apart from the errors, there is nothing worth disliking.

I rate Pierce Roberts' The Atlantis Cure 4 out of 5 stars. I had to take away a star because I found more than ten errors.

I recommend The Atlantis Cure to fans of science fiction novels and historical adventures.
