Hey giorgia, I have Testimony in my collection and read it awhile back. I can remember that I really enjoyed it. In fact I think I might go back and give it another read when I finish current book(The little stranger - Sarah Waters). Just got it off the shelf, I remember it now, yes a very enjoyable read. Its the only Anita Shreve book I have ever read. Do you recommend any of her others? If they are as good as Testimony I will check them out. :)

Since my last post I started rereading "Testimony" and have not been able to put it down. As well as being a great read it is also beautifully written. I love how each chapter is seen from a different character's perspective. As the book unfolds you see how the scandal affects each character from their own eyes. Thanks giorgia for the post, I had forgotten how much I enjoyed this book. :)

i have to say, it was a very refreshing style of writing - she never actually wrote about the scandal itself happening really, just the aftermath. i thought it was a pretty amazing book - as a young person, i often get irritated by older author's imaginings about youth, but this was fresh and not naive.
