In a tale of tragedy and redemption, an elderly woman murders a young girl, fearing she couldn't raise the child properly. This child, Billy Lymon, an orphan struggling with depression, contemplates suicide until his foster parent reveals the truth about his mother's murder. Billy, grappling with his sexuality, attends church, where his uncle preaches about rapture and accepting Jesus. His sexuality seemed to be a struggle for him, but ever since finding solace in Christianity, Billy replaced his deep despair with an inexplicable joy and peace, prompting a quest for understanding. Read on to find out more about Billy’s story.
I enjoyed reading this story. The author is indeed a great writer. He started the book with a catchy part that will make every reader hold tightly to the book. I enjoyed how well the story flowed, with every detail of scenery and emotion properly written. It is a well-told story from a very experienced writer. The characters in this book developed well, and there was a good background story about them.
The content of this book is controversial in society today, but I enjoyed how the author wrote about it. Homosexuality and Christianity are two words that society today never wants to mix, but the author addressed this topic well and also raised some important, thought-provoking questions. Everyone can be used by God, and God’s love is neither judgmental nor partial.
The only thing that I may not have liked about this book was that there was too much background information on some characters that did not play major roles in the book. This made the book seem a bit lengthy. I found some errors in this book. These errors could have been avoided with thorough editing.
I rate this book,
Hanging Out with the Most High God Books One and Two by Gordon Bell,
5 out of 5 stars because it was well-written and a lot of benefits can be gotten from it. This book was professionally edited. I recommend it to people who are still trying to find their faith in Christ. This book will help them.

I don't feel compelled to read this book as a non-Christian. The review did surprise me in a good way stating that God's love is not judgmental. Christians I know and appreciate indeed have no issues combining their faith with respecting others independent of their beliefs or sexuality or background.

### Book Review: *Hanging Out with the Most High God Books One and Two* by Gordon Bell
Gordon Bell's *Hanging Out with the Most High God Books One and Two* is a deeply spiritual and introspective work that invites readers into a profound exploration of faith, devotion, and personal connection with the divine. Bell's narrative is both compelling and comforting, as he shares his own journey of spiritual discovery and the intimate moments he experiences in the presence of God.
One of the standout features of Bell's work is his ability to convey complex theological concepts in an accessible and relatable manner. He writes with a sincerity that is both disarming and engaging, making it easy for readers from various backgrounds to connect with his experiences. Bell's prose is straightforward yet evocative, often reflecting a deep sense of reverence and awe that can inspire similar feelings in his audience.
The structure of the books, divided into manageable sections and chapters, allows readers to absorb the material at their own pace. Each chapter stands alone as a testament to a particular aspect of Bell's spiritual life, yet they all come together to form a cohesive narrative about his ongoing relationship with God. This format is particularly effective for readers who may want to use the book as a devotional guide, reading and reflecting on one chapter at a time.
Bell's anecdotes and personal stories add a layer of authenticity to the text, making it not just a theological treatise but a heartfelt memoir. His encounters with the divine are described with a vividness that brings them to life, allowing readers to feel as if they are experiencing these moments alongside him. This personal touch is what makes *Hanging Out with the Most High God* so impactful—it’s not just about reading someone else’s journey, but finding inspiration and guidance for one's own spiritual path.
However, the book is not without its shortcomings. At times, the narrative can become repetitive, with similar themes and ideas resurfacing without much new insight. This repetition can slow down the reading experience and may cause some readers to lose interest. Additionally, while Bell's writing is accessible, it sometimes lacks the depth and nuance that might appeal to more theologically inclined readers.
Overall, *Hanging Out with the Most High God Books One and Two* is a heartfelt and inspiring read for anyone seeking to deepen their relationship with God. Gordon Bell’s genuine and earnest approach to his spiritual journey provides both solace and motivation, making this book a valuable addition to any spiritual library.

How amazing is it to hear how Billy found solace in Christ that replaced his depression and suicide contemplation with joy and peace. I would love to know more about Billy's background that landed him into depression and suicidal thoughts. This book is relevant to todays world where homosexuality is much prevalent, it'll really help young youths who are battling depression and already having suicidal thoughts. I appreciate reviewer's honesty that the book has so much background information that makes the book much lengthy. It is indeed great to be closer to God. Amazing review!

The story appears to deal with identity issues. It discusses being an orphan, racism, and gender. Exploring gender identity in the context of religion is a brave step toward challenging established beliefs.

The review explored the book well, thank you. Although the subject is controversial, it’s not as shocking as it would have been, even a couple of decades ago. Homosexuality, Billy’s situation, and his sad family history makes for a compelling plot.

The book is all about a desperate orphan who although he knew that he was born gay and he told no one about it, he still accepted Jesus .He knew that God does not like people like him but the author here in the narrative encourages people to be spiritually committing themselves and believe that there is God , the Creator.

You are right; we need to talk more about the place that LGBTQ+ individuals have in different religious communities. I just hope this doesn't end with Billy "converting" to heterosexuality...
Thank you for addressing these controversial topics in an open but sensitive way.
