I want to start by saying I am usually not a fan of fantasy and mythology, but I actually really enjoyed this book. I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars. It is not exactly a Lord of the Rings type book, but pretty close. This book started out a little slow, but after you get through the first couple of chapters it was engaging and captivating. As other reviews have mentioned, there parts of the book where I feel the author could have expounded. I also found it difficult to keep track of the different realms. Overall, though, I wanted to keep reading to find out what happened next. The book comes with a glossary to help with some of the terms and references, which was also very helpful. For those who do not like the idea of having to look up things on a glossary, I can tell you that I did not look at the glossary terms until I finished reading the book because it was enjoyable and understandable without having to look at it while reading. For me, the book sparked an internal awakening, as there were many references to humanity and the internal and external wars we face on a daily basis.
