Nimue: Freeing Merlin (Barnes & Noble Edition) by Ayn Cates Sullivan is a great book that touches Celtic culture. The story has a major character, Nina, a seventeen-year-old American grappling with challenges.

The book tells the story of Nina, a seventeen-year-old residing with her mother. When they decide to spend the summer in London, Nina, oblivious to her extraordinary past, embarks on a quest intertwined with Arthurian legends. Unbeknownst to her, she discovers she was once Nimue. Now, she holds the key to finding him and saving the world. The novel introduces readers to Celtic personalities and myths. Nina's journey in Britain unfolds a lot of things within her subconscious, reshaping her life's course.

Ayn Cates Sullivan does a very good job of making this book realistic by putting a focus on present times combined with ancient myths. I have read many stories involving Merlin, and I must say that, by far, this is the best. The book almost blurred the lines between dreams and reality for me. The author of this book made sure to use detailed and vibrant scene-setting to enhance the book’s allure. The book is one of a kind and can be viewed as a coming-of-age novel.

There is nothing that I dislike about this book. This is the fourth time I have read the book. The first three times were last year, and I made sure it was the last book I read for that year because I so much enjoyed the storyline. I have started the year with this awesome book again.

This book has gone through exceptional editing. It does not have any errors in it. I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars primarily because I have nothing to dislike about the book and I loved everything about it. I recommend it to people who enjoy magical stories.
