The Best American Non-Required Reading: 2008

Hello everyone,
I would like to start a discussion of this annual collection of short stories, essays, and graphic novel excerpts that I think is an exceptional way to become acquainted with overlooked works. I'll throw out my favorites: Marjorie Celena's "Y" and Emily Raboteau's "Searching for Zion." Both of these installments touched me incredibly, both with the writing and the content. Has anyone thumbed through this book? What did you think?
Thanks!
