She must rediscover her magical roots, solve mysteries, and free Merlin to bring balance back to the world.
 
I loved how the author, Ayn Cates Sullivan, created a one-of-a-kind tale rooted in Arthurian legend that introduced readers to Nimue in Nimue: Freeing Merlin. The mix of ancient myths in a modern setting added an intriguing touch. The author's attention to detail, backed by thorough research, was evident in the way she described the scenarios that happened in the book. Her storytelling skill is exceptional, and it will make anyone glued to this book till the end. She included a helpful glossary that helped to connect the old myths with the present. It was very useful to me.
 
Some things about this book did not sit well with me. For example, I found it a bit odd that a teenager who lives in New York will address her mother as “Mother” and not “Mum.” This seemed forced and unrealistic. Even the way Nimue easily accepted that she was a mage from a stranger seemed unrealistic too. These observations are just products of deep thoughts and did not affect my reading or the overall quality of the book, so I rate it 5 out of 5 stars.
 
Lovers of mystical novels will have a great time with this book because it is of great quality, and with the author’s unique storytelling skill, they are bound to fall in love with it. This book was without errors and was exceptionally edited.
