'Clean' aduly historical ficition for pre teen/teen

Post by pearlygirly »

Hi,
I love historical fiction and have read a lot of the teenage historical fiction so I'm looking for some adult novels that have suitable and clean content. Some examples of authors like this are Jean Plaidy and Norah Lofts.

Thanks for any replies :!:

Hi hope this helps!
This is a novel about more recent history found in teenage and adult sections of bookshops in England.

If you'd like to discover what it was like for a child living in Germany in 1939 try Markus Zusak" The Book Thief".

Set in nazi Germany it is a moving story about a nine year old girl who steals books.
As the cover explains it is a book about a girl+ an accordionist+some fanatical Germans+a Jewish fist fighter+quite a lot of thievery.Do not be put off by the fact that Death is the Narrator and visits the book several times.
it is a book for book lovers.

Thank you for reccomending The Book Thief. :D The reviews look good.
Actually I've had it on a bookcase in my house for a long time but didn't really realise whar it was about.

I truly want to read The Book Thief now as well. Great recommendation!
