‘Hello, My Love’ is a romance novel, a fiction story, written by Evy Journey. The main character is Elise who is a career woman studying law. Her encounter with Greg came about through the numerous business meetings he had with her father. They often saw each other while taking dinner at Elise parents’ house.
They hardly became friends since Elise, always ignored Greg’s presence. One day when Greg was busy discussing a criminal book with Elise, she became so interested to note that Greg was not a boring guy and that is how their friendship began. A day before the wedding of Greg to his fiancée Lori, Elise had an affair with Greg which led to the cancellation of his wedding because he realized he did not love Lori and could not proceed with the wedding.
Two years later, Greg met Elise. She had his child whom she named Gregory and they reunited. Trouble started when Lori sought revenge for being jilted by Greg. This was just among the many problems that she would encounter.
Elise being an advocate at the Public Defender’s office, had to endure threats from a criminal gang that she was defending in court. At one point they hired someone to scare off Elise which resulted to an accident. The two are torn between sustaining their relationship and handling the challenges that faces them before their wedding.
The themes being portrayed by the author are love and forgiveness. Elise demonstrates maturity in the way she handles the challenges facing her and her fiancé Greg. This is accompanied by the wisdom of their parents as well as Elise independence when she makes decision about her future. The most interesting part is where Elise runs out of the hospital where she had gone to abort the baby. Her reason of keeping the baby is so mature that its makes one to compare the story to the reality happening in the world and the power of forgiveness.
The author expresses the characters in reality bringing up emotions. The creation of suspense at the end of every chapter makes the reader eager to know the continuation. It leaves the reader hooked to the end and it is certainly a page turner; hard to put down. This book has vast vocabulary that enriches the reader with English grammar. The reader gets engrossed with the story that it feels like a real occurrence unfolding before their eyes.
I did not find any grammatical errors. I therefore rate this story 4 out of 4 stars. This is a book I would highly recommend to anyone who loves romance stories. It is an enjoyable read.
