"ghost with Two Hearts" is a fascinating book by Michael R. French that mixes the deep culture and traditions of Japan with a story full of mystery, the search for redemption, and the supernatural. At the heart of the story is Adrian Green, who starts off with what seems like a simple task: to return a World War II samurai sword to its rightful family in Japan. But this mission quickly becomes a deep and meaningful journey that crosses into the realms of history and the supernatural.

The novel does more than just tell a story; it acts as a bridge from the past to the present, blending reality with the spiritual world. Adrian's journey becomes an exploration into the core values of Japanese culture, including the honor of the samurai and the lasting effects of history. The samurai sword, an important symbol of honor and duty, becomes the key to unlocking unexpected discoveries and meetings, especially with Kami, a ghost with her own story of love and loss that is central to the mystery.
Kami, equally as important as Adrian, adds a rich depth to the story. Her interactions with the living world, especially Adrian, beautifully close the gap between the living and the spiritual, exploring themes of forgiveness and the impact of historical conflicts on the present.
The book's depiction of Japan is strikingly vivid and immersive, presenting every detail from the busy streets of Tokyo to the tranquil countryside. France's writing makes Japan feel alive, serving as a dynamic backdrop to the story's unfolding drama.
Beyond its engaging setting and supernatural elements, "Ghost with Two Hearts" is a literary achievement, crafted with precision and elegance. It's a novel that deeply explores cultural themes with respect and authenticity, offering readers a chance to dive into the richness of Japanese culture and history.

Overall, the book stands out for its complex story, expert storytelling, and emotional depth. It's not just a captivating story; it's a gateway to a deeper understanding and appreciation of Japan's cultural heritage. This book is a must-read for those who enjoy stories that are not only entertaining but also thought-provoking and inspiring. I rate Book Book five out of five stars for exceptional editing and grammatically perfect writing. There was nothing I disliked about this book.
