"Not Dead Yet" by Mark Fletcher is a real eye-opener, I tell you. It's like a window into the lives of folks who are spending their twilight years in an old-age care facility. The stories are a mix of heartwarming and gut-wrenching moments that'll make you feel all the feels.

So, here's the deal: the book is a collection of short stories about the residents of this care facility. Each one of them has a tale to tell, and boy, do they tell it. You've got songs, lyrics, poems, and even journal entries that give you a glimpse into their lives. It's like they're saying, "Hey, we're still here, still kickin', and our voices matter."

One story that really got me is about a wife who journals her experience caring for her husband with dementia. She visits him every day, but as he slips further away, he doesn't even recognise her anymore. It's a raw and honest look at the pain of letting go, and it's just one of the many powerful narratives in this book.

Now, I have to be real with you. While the book is definitely worth a read, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. There are moments when you might find yourself getting a bit bored. But that's life, right? Not every moment is a thrill ride.

Overall, I'd give "Not Dead Yet" a solid 5 out of 5 stars. It's a poignant reminder that our elders have stories worth hearing, and they deserve our attention and respect. Just because someone's old doesn't mean they're out of the game. They've still got plenty of life in them, and this book does a fantastic job of showing that. Fortunately, I did not find any errors. 

Well, if you're looking for a fast-paced, action-packed read, this isn't it. It's more of a slow burn that requires a bit of patience. But trust me, patience is well rewarded. So grab a cuppa, settle in, and give this book a chance. You might just find yourself seeing the golden years in a whole new light.
