The Atlantis Cure is the fourth instalment in the Destroyer Series by Pierce Roberts. A pandemic has ravaged the world, with more than 20% of the population of some cities lost to the disease; the world economy hasn't also been spared, as it has dwindled terribly. The cause could be traced to the villain, the North Korean President, Kim Soorah, who teams up with a scientist to unleash a global infection on the United States and the world.

As the pandemic's intensity increases, the baton falls on a group led by Joseph Black Feather and his friends Sullivan, Rick, Jean, Father Cannon, Belly, and Kate. The cure for the virus hidden on an ancient stone tablet foretold thousands of years ago is searched for. This message stone was split in two, encrypted, and hidden for thousands of years. Joseph Black Feather, who has Atlantean blood, is chosen by the gods to carry out their task. To learn more about how this story plays out, read this book.

I must commend the suspense the author employs in producing this book; the historical alignment also demonstrates the level of research put into this work. The author spins a complex, fascinating tale with beautiful character development, where their qualities and flaws are laid out for the audience to experience. My favourite character was easily the primary protagonist. Joseph Black Feather was an interesting character, and his humility and compassion were beautiful to see. I also appreciated Harry's determination not to live an impoverished life.

I had no dislikes for this story, as I quickly fell in sync with the plot. The plot was compelling and complex, and I was hooked until the end. It is also a perfect standalone. I encountered no errors while reading this, showing it was exceptionally well-edited. I'm rating The Atlantis Cure by Pierce Roberts 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend it to audiences interested in historical fiction, adventure, the supernatural, and mystery.
