Review of McDowell
The intriguing book McDowell by William H. Coles tells the story of a particular well-known and driven surgeon named Hiram McDowell and his polygamous family. In his book, William describes how this surgeon uses his skills and expertise to save numerous lives. With seventy-two chapters divided into two sections, the book is written in clear, comprehensive, basic English with 36 chapters in each portion. In the first section, Hiram McDowell's prospectus and family history are briefly discussed. In the second, his fate after realising his dream and the state of his family as a result are explained in detail.
The lead character, following the death of his second wife, Sophie, married Carole, his third wife. Before she met Hiram, Carole was the mother of two children, Tracy and Candace. Thus, they shared parental responsibility for their kids' upbringing. McDowell had aspirations of leading the International College of Surgeons as its president. In order to help Michael O'Leary, his coworker, realise his aspirations, he had to make a pledge to him. However, Billie, Hiram's son, committed a grave error. How could Billie have responded? Did Hiram McDowell keep his word to Michael? To discover the answers to these important issues, pick up a copy of the book.
Reading this motivating book was a pleasure. This book's plot is inventive and thrilling, and the author did a great job writing it. The suspense in the book kept readers interested as they read it. I was captivated by this book from start to finish as a result. This book is crammed with insightful information and motivational quotes. Reading this book taught me a lot about human behaviour. The book has an attractive, uncomplicated appearance and was well-written. I also liked how each character had a distinct voice and contributed something new to the story.
I'll talk about the few issues that I had concerns about while reading the book. Hiram made avoidable mistakes, but I suppose people struggle to deal with greed because it always ends in disaster. Hiram neglected his family, and I felt bad for them because of this deed. It didn't change my overall opinion of the book because this is part of it and it adds intrigue to the plot. Because of its good points, the book is deserving of a rating of five out of five stars.
I must also note that while reading this book, I found some errors. This shows that it was professionally edited. If you enjoy adventure and thrillers, I highly recommend this book.
