Are you a marathon runner? I encourage you to take a look at Sam Brand's book, Dolphins Don't Run Marathons. This book is better suited to sports enthusiasts, particularly marathon runners. Sam begins his book by explaining who the human ant, human dolphin, and human chimpanzee are. He labels himself as the "human ant."

During the 2007 New York Marathon, Sam ran the marathon. He prepared well for the big event. Being a marathon runner, his life mostly focuses on training and healthy diets. Several times, he refused to mingle with his friends. Luckily, Sam's family and friends went to New York to cheer for him. Sam labeled them the "human dolphin" and the "human chimpanzee," who also run in the jungle (world) with a different mindset from the human ant.

Though the ant runner looks aloft at the group of dolphins and chimpanzees, he appreciates their different views on life. Sam's human dolphin friend gives him advice to take a look at a new sport. Will Sam follow his friend's advice for a new adventure?

I like that Sam uses the ant, dolphin, and chimpanzee as metaphors in conveying his ideas. Through Sam's idea, I appreciate the human dolphins, who always have a happy life. In this book, the human dolphin is the wisest among the three animals. I also imagined how cool it is to be a human chimpanzee, too. I least like that the human chimpanzee didn't have more details like the human ant and human dolphin in this book.

Furthermore, the book looks like a combination of a memoir and a reflection while adding metaphors to create a unique masterpiece, which I am happy to give 5 out of 5 stars. I learned several things in this book, like looking around while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the place you are in. I even longed to follow the advice of the human dolphin.
