Ghost With Two Hearts by Michael R. French is a historic thriller book. The plot begins with the main protagonist, Adrian, leaving his job in Buffalo as a lead software engineer for a firm. He then embarks on a trip to Japan to find peace and solace.

At the rental place where Adrian was staying, he encounters a kami, which is a Japanese ghost. Initially, he was scared, but he developed a special bond with the ghost named Emiko. Set on the mission to return the katana, a sword his grandfather had stolen from a Japanese Samurai during a war in Saipan, Adrian then encounters various adventures and a deadly Kami of that deceased Samurai.

There were quite a lot of things I liked about the book. First, the book kept me hooked on it right from the beginning. Adrian's sheer determination to find the owner of the stolen katana was something I really liked reading. Second, I loved the bond between him and Emiko. The gradual progression of their friendship was wonderfully written and described. Also, the book includes a lot of information on Japanese culture, cuisine, and traditions, which was very informative and insightful. I enjoyed reading about the Shinto gods.

Throughout the book, I was never bored or lost interest while reading. All the chapters were very enriching and informative. There was nothing that I disliked about this book. The narration and flow of the writing were excellent. I really enjoyed this tale of friendship and adventure.

There were no typos or grammatical errors in the book. The editing of the book seemed flawless. The sentences were easy to understand and interpret. For the reasons mentioned above, I rate the book 5/5 stars. A person who enjoys reading historical fiction will like reading this book. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone.
