This was a great read- just picked it up yesterday at B&N. Although it could be somewhat formulaic at times, some really interesting issues were addressed regarding teen pregnancy and mother-daughter relationships. I believe it was based off of Bristol Palin's situation and the pregnancy pact that occurred in Gloucester a few years back. The story is about 3 successful, overachieving high school students decide to form a pact and get pregnant at the same time. The twist is that the mother of one of the girls is high school principal Susan Tate, who herself was a teen mother. Of course, many people in the conservative Maine town are critical. We watch Susan struggle to understand her daughter and fight for her job. It's a good book to read as a mother. I plan on giving it to my teenage daughter to read as well.
