World War I nurses

Post by victorian.noire »

hey all. just finished a book called "the Innocents" by Caroline Seebohm. It was based on a true story about a set of twins who worked as red cross nurses during WWI in France. i picked it up based on the cover and was pleasantly surprised. It was a pretty amazing book about coming to terms with the loss of innocence through a traumatic period, well written and an amazing cast of characters

Anyone who read and enjoyed Birdsong , The Wars, or any other novel based in WWI would really enjoy this one. 4/5 stars from me
