Thanks for the great review. I like how the author is bringing two brilliant yet alcoholic characters together. Gary seems to be the younger of the two characters. Perhaps there is something Gary will learn from Duke. I'd definitely like to read this book and find out.

Characters that have a variety of blatant vices but are yet written in a way that makes you want to support them intrigue me. I'm glad you found this enjoyable. I appreciate the review.

The sword swallower had a very traumatic past. As he goes on with his life, suddenly he can't work at the circus anymore. I love how he takes care of the chico kid and tries his best to give him what he lacked.

I guess there will be lessons to learn in here even though I'm not so keen on reading the book for myself. I hope Gary and Duke find meaning and success in life as they go on.

The division of the book into three parts, each focusing on different characters and their intertwined lives, adds depth and complexity to the narrative. It's intriguing to see how Duke Reynolds, the daring sword swallower, and Gary Robinson, the Chico kid, eventually come together, shaping each other's destinies. Nice review.

Sword swallowing definitely looks like an act I'd like to know more about. I'd also love to know this interconnection between Duke and Gary and how it relates to the title. Beautiful review.

The book "The Sword Swallower and a Chico Kid" follows Duke and Gary, two flawed yet relatable individuals. Their humorous interactions make the story engaging. It's a compelling exploration of friendship, humor, and personal growth. Congrats on BOTD!
