Christopher Ransom - The Birthing House

Hey, Im new on here, I just read The Birthing House by Christopher ransom, it was really good but Im a bit confused by the ending. I dont wanna say what happened in case someone is in the middle of reading it but i finished the book in 1 day because I couldnt wait to know what happens at the end and when I read the last paragraph, I was like "WTF" please someone help!!!!
