Stories of Hope and Healing by Valerie Behiery are life-intricate stories that explore and discuss several life aspects, including suffering loss, faith, war, life hardships, resilience, racism, family love, artistic work, and healing.

From one story to the next, Valerie presents a masterpiece narrative that introduces the reader to a new set of characters, settings, and topics. From the first story "Through a Broken Window," where Sanjar and Dustin suffer the impact of war in their town, to "Lost Job. Found Friend," where Laura suffers from bipolar disease after losing her job, to the last story "Muslim Children's Story: Hushud Teaches Amina the Five Pillars of Islam," the author discusses how each story's characters navigated through life problems to find solace, healing, hope, and inspiration for themselves and their friends and neighbors. The stories stress the role of resilience, faith, and family in helping one overcome life challenges.

One aspect that made me fall in love with this book is how Valerie emphasized the importance of family in our lives. I loved seeing Sue and her mother Hellen find joy together as a family, despite Sue's condition and impending dangers posed by her health as documented in the story "A Cup of Tea and a Piece of Sky." It is a similar scenario in the story "Healing Me in Death," where Valerie depends on her husband for moral support as she fights to heal from the loss of her mother.
splendid editorial work

Nothing in this book could turn me off. Valarie narrated exciting stories from the beginning to the end. Every story is inspiring and emotional and leaves lessons that the readers can apply in their daily lives.

I give this book a 5 out of 5 star rating. This book is professionally and flawlessly edited. I didn't come across grammar errors throughout the book. I commend the author for such splendid editorial work. By reading this book, the reader will change how they approach the hardships they encounter in life. The stories narrated have inspirational messages that inspire the reader to remain resilient amid challenges. I recommend this book to people grappling with life challenges and seeking reassurance that 'all is not lost.'
