'Strong heart' by Charlie Sheldon
This book follows the encounter of Tom and his granddaughter Sarah, whom Tom did not know even existed. As Tom was packing his camping equipment with his good friend William and his daughter Myra, Tom's ex wife shows up unannounced at his doorstep and introduces him to their granddaughter. Not knowing what else to do, they bring Sarah along and the camping adventure begins for all of them. Although Sarah never went camping, question is, who will learn more from whom on this trip.
This great adventure will take you on an amazing journey, turn your mind and perspective upside down and will make you think a bit more about learning who you really are and where you come from. To me it was an eye opener for lots of things, including how important family is and that we are much more than we think we are. It made me take a step back from growing mentally on my own and realizing that I first have to learn where my roots are. So when I searched back as far as I was able, it suddenly felt right and I was positive that I know myself much better. Also, I was really fascinated with the amount of time Mr. Sheldon must have spent researching history of native tribes and forming into a story.
The book will be appealing and really enjoyable to anyone who loves learning history that is not written in our history books, as well as the people who are looking for yet another way of spiritual growth and love digging up long forgotten facts about the world we live in. It will help you create a much better picture of what is truly important, both in your life and the world. Also, it can be a positive influence for parents to take their children out in nature and help them evolve into a better person one day.
I would not recommend this book to an individual who is not willing to be open minded and doesn't like spending time in nature because those are the two things you need in order to really understand it.
This, of course does not mean the book is bad, but that you probably would not enjoy it. Although I do encourage everyone to read it, maybe it will even help you fall in love with some of above mentioned things.
In conclusion, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars mostly because of its spectacular subject but also because it does not have almost any typos, so it has been really easy for me to just sit down and become the part of this amazing story.
