I'm a new Kindle owner. I just finished the novel "Two Kinds of Color" by Deborah Kennedy. The plot is terrific, the characters are so vividly drawn. I couldn't put the book down. This is the first novel I've read on the topic of a family of children who are separately black and white. This writer handles the controversial subject matter with style and grace. I hope to read more from this writer--a fabulous read. I highly recommend "Two Kinds of Color."

Does anyone know if there is more work by this writer? I think she has a book of short stories but I can't find it.

Found this writer Saira Viola through this book forum and on recommendation of the intelligent and detailed reviews I got the novella and was brilliantly suprised by the depth and emotion of the writing . I have since read some of the same writer's poetry and am advised that her second book will be out soon. Doing my research on line I found out that SLIDE may be the abridged version and would like to read the full one if anyone knows where this is ? Great book great forum I found another writer on here I am going to try too :D
