Broken by William Cope Moyers

Post by morebooks4me »

I am reading an autobiography of Bill Moyers son, William Cope Moyers. It's called Broken and details his history of drug abuse and recovery, drug abuse and recovery, etc, etc. I'm almost finished with it.

I hate to be mean, but after reading his book I think he is quite possibly the most selfish person in the world. And the reading is pretty dry also. He is constantly blaming everyone around him for his problems. I understand that addiction is a disease, but it seems like for him it's always because he couldn't deal with his father being famous, or it was their fault he was an addict because they didn't intervene (beside the fact that they didn't know because he hid it from them). Or his ex-wife's fault because after she found out he was a crack addict she changed the locks. I'm going to finish it because I am almost done, but seriously I don't recommend it.
