“Guardian Of Deceit” by: William H. Coles

Have you ever read a book that felt like you had just read a little part of someone else's life story?

Mr. Coles with in the first couple pages, pulls you in and have you stay up past your bedtime.

There is a few main characters in this story we read about as the story unfolds. Each one of them become well rounded as the story is told. By the end it's like you know each of their personalities and that makes this an excellent read.

This story revolves around an adolescent on the cusp of being an adult. The people he lives with and meets all play a major part in his life.

Our first and number one character is Darwin. He loses his parents at a young age and goes to live with his aunt.

His aunt makes sure he has everything a grown child could ever want, but her health is fading to where she can no longer take care of him.

Darwin is sent to live with his famous cousin in a new city. Along the way he meets a doctor on his flight.

Doctor Malverne gives Darwin one of his business cards once he learns the young man wants to be a doctor someday.

Darwin arrives at his cousin’s mansion, in hope’s of continuing where he left off to pursue the best education money can buy and still receive his allowance each week.

Luther has other plans for his younger cousin. Money doesn’t fall on trees and Luther's wants him to earn the money he gets.

Granny related to Luther, lives at the mansion and is a sneaky old cote in her own right becomes a playing buddy with Darwin.

Luther’s girlfriend Sweeney Pale is wants to be loved so bad, she’ll do almost anything to be with Luther even if her self worth is at stake.

As the story unfolds Darwin meets several others who live there and work for Luther day in and day out.

He also meets others along the way, who will at either impact his life and change course his life takes throughout the book.

Their story's will engage you in love, lost and life trials that we all have been thrown in our own life or many of us will one day experience.

For the young who read this it opens their eyes to what lays ahead and what choice we make define our actions.

For those of us who have experienced life trials can relate to this story.

The only real issue I had with the story, was the pictures seemed to be fillers. For me it threw off the reading, but was over all not enough to make me rate this book any less, because this books shows life lessons on choices a person made and what had followed as a result.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 and I voted for it as book of the year. This would be a great book for an adolescent or a young adult to get a taste of reality on what life might have in store, however not this exact scenario.
