This is an action-packed second book in a trilogy. It handles the journey of Jesus and John after birth and baptism in the River Jordan. Elric's team is in a battle with demons to protect Jesus, John, and their families. After Jesus' birth, circumcision and naming were done. He was dedicated in the temple in Jerusalem, and a pair of turtledoves was given as a sacrifice. Simeon held the baby in his arms in the temple and made prophecies according to the word. King Herod ordered the wiping out of male children two years and below, and Joseph had to escape to Egypt with his family. Jesus was taught scriptures by Raziel, and the teachers of law were surprised at his knowledge of the scriptures. John received a message to prepare the way for the coming of the Messiah by preaching and baptizing people for their sins to be forgiven.

The book has great details of its events, even though it has several characters. I had a hard time understanding the works of the many characters in the book and had to read some sections several times. That is the only negative I picked from this book. The book made me understand that there are guardian angels sent to watch over God's people. The way the angels appeared on occasions when Jesus and John were near a tragedy was very impressive. I learned that God protects his own for his mission to be accomplished. The author gives references at the end of the book. The Bible verses given as references were interesting to read and relate to the events of the book. John playing with Jesus during their toddlerhood gave me beautiful memories, and I enjoyed reading the book.

The editing of the book is perfect. I did not find any grammar errors in it. I give it a perfect rating of five out of five stars because of the positives given above. I had only one negative, and this does not affect my rating. This is a wonderful read! I recommend it to all Christians out there. Anyone who would like to learn about Jesus, John, and their families outside the spiritual life could also read it.
