To start, I would say that this is not your regular story about breakups. It is a collection of 36 short stories about a woman, the protagonist, and her experiences and how she grapples with the decision to leave and find true happiness.

This book, Break Up with Him Now!, by Lena Lubinka, tells the story of the protagonist, who started dating at a young age and was heartbroken for the first time at age 13. This experience made her understand that she wasn't the type of person who would easily jump from one relationship to another.

The book narrates her story and how she was introduced to smoking, mental abuse, and, generally, the bad sides of relationships. While she experienced this new reality, she struggled with the decision to leave the relationship. Instead, she developed coping mechanisms that helped her endure while looking forward to better days. Despite the protagonist's experiences, the story conveys that true love and happiness are possible if you let go of the past.

The main reason why I like this book is how realistic it is. Although it does not contain a lot of details, like the name of the protagonist or any character at all, I appreciate the fact that her experiences are things that people experience in actual relationships, such as body shaming, animal cruelty, and even public shaming from her partner. I also like that the protagonist employed abstract coping methods that helped her endure these trying times, such as connecting to the metaphysical and her spiritual self. I also like that the book came with a bit of humor, like that part where she sprayed a liquid fart in her partner's car because she wanted to punish him for annoying her for fun. The short chapters also made it very easy to read, seeing that each story in these chapters was a standalone.

On the downside, although the book carries a strong message, it lacks depth. This is because the secondary characters didn't have names or even a backstory. This would have benefitted the story immensely. But aside from this, this was generally a well-written book. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I'm not deducting a star because the downsides I mentioned did not stop me from enjoying the book. I also learned a lot from it. I recommend this book to people currently dealing with relationship issues, as this will help them spot early red flags.
