The story of lovers as the title makes it real clear. Greg is engaged, though he had made a vow, he couldn't resist the sight of this independent, strong, determined girl, Elise. He strongly wanted to get to know her, so did she. The party that's been usually hosted at Dr. Halverson's (Elise's dad) place gave them enough chances to get to know each other. Just 2 days before the wedding Greg had a feeling that this might be his last chance to tell Elise how he feels, and it turns out she couldn't push him away affirming her feelings for him. However Elise runs away from him as she knew Greg had his marriage coming. Greg depressed in confusion whether to go on with his marriage, to get married to someone he never loved or to break his vow and pursue to get the love of his life. That night Elise realised that her relationship with him though she loved him unconditionally that night was the end to it. He was going to be someone's husband.
But the act of that night had its consequence, Elise was pregnant while she was still in law school on her way to fulfill her ambitions. Will she able to hold on to her child? Or give up her child for her career? Will they make decisions to hold on to their love, to hold on to each other? Thats something you have to know by reading the book yourself.
The way the authur writes describing each scene and the feelings of each characters are just amazing. It gets you indulged in the book. She makes you feel what her characters feel there in her book. She really has a passionate way of writing that gets you glued to the book. These are what made me love the book.
However there were no twist or turns in the book, unexpected adventures could have made it better. Though the story could be assumed by the readers in the chapters ahead, the authur has a way of getting our hopes up, and when we reach the part when our assumptions are confirmed its like we our shouting on the top of our voices "Hell Yeah! Thats how it should be!"
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars as the author though had a very straight story to tell she had me and would mostly all the readers to become the characters and experience the adventure of the story. The author created the perfect atmosphere to express all the feelings one would feel in life, her words expressed the love, trust, guilt, jealousy, confusion, hatred, fear perfectly. The female lead Elise was an extraordinary character created, as the way she handles her love for Greg and her unborn kid, her proffesion, and her ambitions in life are profusely expressed. Evy has perfectly brought out the feminine aspects of Elise still expressing her capabilities, thoughts, ideas and her attitude making her self sufficient and independent. Hope you enjoy the book as I did. Thus I finish my review on HELLO, MY LOVE.
