Skippy Dies by Paul Murray

Set in a posh boys boarding school & peopled with some remarkably eccentric characters ... from the doughnut eating science genius to the drug dealing, self-harming, psychopath and a myriad of other equally rivetting characters.

Skippy Dies is both incredibly funny and painfully sad as the competing demands of parents, teachers and teenage hormones clash. The concerns of a group of teenagers adrift from the world around them and slowly but almost inevitably moving towards tragedy is an exhausting but deeply satisfying read.

This is a remarkable book that I can't praise highly enough ... 10/10
