Looking for a thriller set in Los Angeles

Hi,
I am madly in love with the city of Los Angeles for several reasons and wish to read a novel, preferably some exciting thriller, whose fictional plot is happening within said city. Since I am from Germany and thus unable to go to LA whenever I want, I crave a book that mentions renown places, locations, sights, street names in order to make me feel to be part of the city.
Also, it may either be a single novel or a series of for example a certain protagonist, if anything like that exists for my specifications.
Thanks a lot for any piece of advice or recommendation, I basically am totally new to the reading "scene".
