I just finised reading this book by Michael Connelly and it sooooo good; I am going to run to see the movie tomorrow!
It started off with some interesting reading and only got better everyday. I finished this book in less than a week because I couldn't put it down. I also was able to put faces to the characters in the book because of the trailers to the movie. Matthew McCaunehy plays a Defense Lawyer who has to defend a guilty or not guilty client (Im not going to give away the story).
The details in the story help to give the reader a full vision of what is going on....a MUST read!
I lok forward to reading another book from Michael Conelly!!! Magnificent!!

You have a massive amount of books to choose from. At last count I think Michael Conelly has written 22 books. I am a fan and have quite a few of his books. I especially like his books that feature the character "Harry Bosch". His latest novel is "The Reversal". I have it sitting on my shelf in my TBR list. It sounds really good.

I tried to post the link to The Lincoln Lawyer from Rotten Tomatoes, (a movie review site), but this site blocked it.
Anyway, it looks like a great movie, so the book must be even better!
Thanks for the recommendation.

It is a great book indeed. Before you read "The Reversal", you may want to try "Nine Dragons" It is a great book which flys along at a great pace. Detective Harry Bosch's Daughter is kidnaped by the Triads and is somewhere in China. He has no idea where she is and has only 24 hours to find her. I really enjoyed it.

Solidly enjoyable, pleasingly old fashioned legal thriller that succeeds thanks to a satisfyingly twisty script, a terrific cast and a superb leading performance from Matthew McConaughey.

I finally went to the movie, The Lincoln Lawyer and I couldn't believe how much detail was missing & they also changed parts of the movie from the book such as names & key parts in the book that made the book so much more interesting! Book wins by a longshot!!
Gannon, I will definitely purchase Nine Dragons first and continue from there. Thanks for the recommendations. I'm almost finished with another book "You Cant Stop Me" by Max Allan Collins & Matthew Clemens. Pretty good book, alittle slow in the middle but it has gotten much better....serial killer!
Molecularblonde...just write the link in or copy & paste it and I will type it in manually, thanks!

This may only interest Michael Connelly readers in Australia.
One of the things I enjoy is getting the chance to meet an author. Michael Connelly will be in Brisbane Australia on Wednesday 25 May 2011 to discuss his latest book. He will talk about “The Fifth Witness” as well as the experience of having his book “The Lincoln Lawyer” made into a film starring Matthew McConaughey. This free event will be held in Auditorium F509 of Queensland University of Technology, Kelvin Grove Campus at 6:30PM with question time.
Always interesting to hear the inside story!

inspector Bosch is great
you might like Ian Rankin or Henning Menkell, they write detective novels where you follow the career on one inspector. The first is set in Scotalnd the other in Sweden

I enjoy all of Bosch stories, a new thriller is due to be issued soon.
Ian Rankin has retired his hero "Rebus" alas he is too old for active duty.
The Menkell books are all 1st class.
