Okay, I've always had great discussion with my friend who's a HP fanatic as well.

Question, as great as HP is and dynamic as all the characters, who do you think is the bravest and most heroic in HP?

I think Snape is the bravest because he was always alone and had to perform the toughest and most dangerous task by fooling the 'greatest' wizard of all time knowing that peril lies around the corner. Also, the fact that he was in some ways good, but no one but Dumbledore knew it until the very end.

I agree Snape has overcame some grueling odds in the Harry Potter series. He was definitley the most interesting character in the series in my opinion, there was something about him that was pure innocent but it was covered by neglect and ignorance.

I totally agree, Jacob. He was the person who everyone hated and distrusted; he had the kill the one person who knew exactly where he stood thus cementing himself with the bad guys, and alienated from the good guys. He was utterly used by Dumbledore, he was just another pawn in attempts to defeat Voldermort. I felt sorry for him because he never got the recognition he deserved until the very end when he gives Harry his memory.

I think the bravest of them all is Harry Potter himself because he saved the world from the clutches of evil

Which book in the series you love least?

I agree that Harry is quite brave, Butterscotch. But, I'll have to disagree with the bravest (for the sake of trying to get a good disc. rolling!!) because he isn't the only one who faced the Dark Lord and he isn't the only one who made sacrifices. One can even argue that he was "forced" into this battle by Voldermort himself when he murdered the Potters. It wasn't necessarily a choice per se, but something he was "born" into being the chosen one.

Ron and Hermonine were always with him helping, he didn't really do that much alone until the very last battle, which does need a LOT of courage to face potential death; but everyone in the war held the same fate.

Well, I agree that there are more people who took more sacrifices than Harry and I agree that Harry was mostly forced, if not totally.

But you see, all of the wizards are afraid to speak Voldemorts name so that eliminates all the of them except I guess Harry and Dumbledore or Snape, given his inside job.

Snape did a lot of sacrifices but that wouldn't say that he was the bravest. Yes, he was comfortable in Lord Voldemort's existence but he was still subject to his command. Dumbledore is already brave, Voldemort, at some point, even feared him. But I didn't really see him a lot in action or his works in action. So.. that leaves me with Harry <_< Well, it already took a lot of courage to shoulder the responsibility of saving the world from the very start.

Harry did take a lot of risks and sacrifices to save him and his friends, he was definitley brave. Especially for his age in the original and second.

Oh, right. I guess age plays well in determining the bravery.

I got this thought from goodreads. When Lord Voldemort dies, Snape will take his place and will rule the world. Yea, I know. It's too wicked to be true.

Well, I do wish the beautiful Draco Malfoy could've been more of a good guy, but the most attractive guys are almost always evil Oh, and Fred should not have had to die!!!

How about you, would you change anything?

Yes, it's a bit sad. if ever Rowling would continue,I can't imagine the series without the dynamic duo

Nothing dynamic. Maybe I want to remove the Chapter about Grawp. <_< Also it would have been good, if Harry yield two wands. You know, Stupefy in the Right and Stupefy in the Left. Although, they did used it once but that was a bummer <_<
