Not Easily Washed Away is the harrowing and heartbreaking tale of the unspeakable abuse and torture one girl faced while growing up in Pakistan. I was reduced to tears while reading this book which is based on the life of his wife.Not Easily Washed Away is the best, saddest, and most heart wrenching book I have read that is based on actual events that occured.It easily surpasses my previous favorite tearjerker A Child Called It and Levene did a spectular job of creating the characters and I was rooting for the character Laila to finally escape the abuse and torture she suffered.I would recommend this book to all of my friends and family as well as all of my Facebooks fans and everyone who follows my blog. I feel very lucky that I was given the chance to read such a powerfully written book.
