Vampire Chronicles Question

Ok so this is a random question, do I have to or should read the first set of vampire chronicles novels in order? I ordered all three but only Vampire Lestat came in?

I would recommend reading them in order - Vampire Lestat is definately one of my favs!

Ok cool! I have seen Interview with the Vampire many times but I was thinking best to read them in order if possible. hmmmmm

You've just given me the urge to re-read that series. I read them a few years ago and loved it! If you like Interview - you'll be crazy over these books!!

hahaha. I used to have the first three in one huge volume but I think I donated it when I moved last for some reason....silly me. Yeah I have been getting back into Anne Rice and I tried years ago to read them and could not get through them. Now that I am older, I think it is time to give them another try. I was hoping all three books would come in at once but not the case, now I have to wait till at least Monday to see if the other two came in. Blood and Gold got me started on her again.

I'd say you should definitely read them in order since The Vampire Lestat refers to Interview with a Vampire a few times. You mentioned you've seen the movie, but there's a lot in the book that wasn't in the movie so you may still be a little lost.
I have the whole series and would love to re-read them but... So many on my TBR! lol

Update 9/1
I am going to be really funny and because I have not gotten Interview from my library yet I am going to read Queen of the Damned first because I have that one and have been dying to read it! I will then go back and read the first two a this point I just really want to read Queen because of how much she was part of Blood and Gold.
