"When an unidentified female body is discovered laid out on a slab in an abandoned butcher's shop, the cause of death is unclear........"

Once you read a snippet like above on the flip side of the front cover, it most certainly draws your attention and when the word 'butcher' is mixed up in it, subsequently you know you are in for a bit of a warped tale.

Around are numerous fiction writers, several outstanding, one inimitable. Chris, it is you! The third of his books regarding Robert Hunter and Carlos Garcia, two special detectives with the homicide team of LAPD.

Chris Carter writes in a way that has you turning the page more and more. This is Carter at his top and the 'mastermind' seems to come to mind. Perhaps, the first book I have read where I was incapable of guessing the killer.

Once reading the primary small chapter of this book, I closed it, took a profound breath and though "this is going to be one torturous journey". The Night Stalker is a huge deal darker and more menacing than books I have read previously. You begin the tale with an unforeseen twist followed by additional unanticipated and nasty turns. The story is well paced and you discover more about Robert Hunter as the tale develops.

In numerous ways, Chris Carter I feel is writing a biography due to Robert Hunter being from the same work background........I wonder whether some of this book is true!?!

I appreciated the way I got pulled into the book precisely from the start and speculate where Chris will take us on the next occasion. If you are fond of crime/detective thrillers of the serial killer type then you need to read this book. Greatest read so far for 2011. Gratitude, Chris!

Thank you,
Michelle
