I have always believed in the idea of reincarnation. I just believe that the great Creator or God does not waste things. Anyway, I digress. This book was a good one for many reasons. It is a love story that is literally for the ages. You are taken on a journey with Daniel as he goes from one life to the next looking for his soul mate Sophie. Through each lifetime they narrowly miss each other or barely meet. The story reads like a memoir and also a back and forth between his past lives and the present day. I found the style interesting and easy to follow but sometimes it felt as though the story dragged at points.

The one thing that bugged me most about this story was that the female characters, including the lead lady seemed so one dimensional at points. Daniel's character was fleshed out well but I felt that the "Sophie" or "Lucy" character (they were different names in different lives) could have been fleshed out a bit more and given more depth. It was not a bad book and I would recommend it to anyone who has an interest or belief in reincarnation and is looking for a good love story to boot.

I totally agree with everything said above. It actually left me with nothing to say other than It was a great, moving love story though. haha. Good job i guess.
But the sophie/lucy character bothered me the most. She seemed more Bella Swan (twilight ugh) to me, and Daniel seemed more human. It was truely wrote out so wonderfully that it did bounce back and forth from feeling like your reading a memoir, to feeling like your reading a fictional love story. I dont know what i was expecting as the end, but it started dragging for me when he actually found her and they ran away with eachother. The swim was incredible though. The ending actually had me "ugh'ing"
