The Guide by R.K. Narayan

I recently read 'The Guide' by R.K. Narayan. The story traces the journey of a man called Railway Raju from a Guide to Event Manager to a Convict to a holy man in the span of a few years. R.K. Narayan once again charmed me with his subtle sense of humor and sarcasm interspersed with deep philosophical thoughts. Loved the book which is funny yet serious.
