“I anxiously looked around, my heart palpitating, just in time to see an alligator sink into the green algae covered water that was on either side of us. I swallowed hard, and my heart raced even faster. Alligators were a different type of predator – the one thing I was afraid of. Now I was on my own personal swamp tour. What if my kidnappers left me in the middle of a swamp with five of them creeping up on me? I’ve had that nightmare before and – oh no, if my dreams really are a sign of the future – I couldn’t breathe now”

A publishing organization called Divertir Publishing sent me this book to read and review and what a divine read it was.

Hurricane was a loving yet bold story and had me rapidly captured inside the tale and instantaneously accepting the major character, making it an unambiguous page-turner!

I appreciated the beginning of the book as I could familiarize myself with the key character when I was approximately that age. There were points were you were left guessing and had you wanting to turn the pages more and more to get to the termination and I respected the detailing of the characters and scenes as it all helps to bond with the story. Unpredictably, there were numeral murky, joyful, puzzling and touching twists that I totally unexpected which drew me even further into the plot and couldn’t wait to find out the ending. I liked how the book had you guessing throughout as it keeps the booklover involved and wanting to read on, making this book an unbelievable read for adolescents and adults alike.

Hurricane was a mystifying, dark, thrilling and a suspecting read and would read more of Jenna-Lynne Duncan’s work in the future!

Cordially,
Michelle Murphy
