I can’t wait to read this one! I like that it is fictional but based on a true story. And the cover art is lovely.

It's always sad when parents decide to choose one child over another. The unfavoured child feels cheated, and rightly so. Thanks for the review!

This novel is based on a true story so I am quite pleased that the author maintained such realism in the work. Stories which showcase the struggle towards success can be inspiring. It should be a good read.

The book liked its description of the life of a very persistent person. I can not believe that it is based on real events. Could not stop until I read the last page.

"Tears and Trombones" is an inspirational coming of age story by Nanci Lee Woody about achieving one's dream against the odds. It's filled with music and has a passionate triangle love story. Congratulations on BOTD!!

The road towards achieving one's goals is always arduous, especially when one's parents are not supportive. I like how you mentioned in the review that the author contrasts the "horrors of family life" with the "beauty of music." Thanks for the review!!

I like how Joey rises above the obstacles place in front of him, to become a great in music who sings with the likes of Frank Sinatra and Jonny Cash. Thanks for the nice review.

This book is an inspiring read. Seeing Joey struggle to realize his dream, despite all the odds, is very encouraging. That makes me want to finish reading it. Wonderful review!

Joey's coming-of-age story looks like a symphony of emotions. Anyone who loves both fiction and music would find his life story touching and thought-provoking. Thanks for a great review!

From reading the review I can tell this is going to be an inspiring read. One that tells the triumphs and failures of a young man hoping to achieve being an amazing trombone player. While he does succeed in playing the trombone for many celebrities he ends up sacrificing something crucial to him. I am looking forward to reading this. Congratulations to the author for being BOTD and great review by the reviewer!

Wouldn't you agree that this is a very precaurious situation to be in? Nice review and a very good story. Thanx.

This must be a fascinating book for me to peruse. Your review has further piqued my interest in reading this book. I'm specifically interested in reading Joey's dynamic family type all through his adversities. Great review
