This book would best be suitable for a family to read. It is a decent book that brings about a fusion between parents and teenagers. The author communicated a mother to daughter relationship and the role of parenting in general.

I agree with you there, the focus dynamic is clearly on the relationship between Hillary and her daughter. However, I think this book is far more geared towards the mother in the relationship than the teenager. It delves into issues of identity and motherhood in this new society so much so that I fear only mature teenagers would be able to fully grasp/appreciate the commentary made.

Meeting Hillary may be a healing dote for some persons.
I agree. In addition to prisoners I in particular think this book would be phenomenal for those struggling with identity in relation to their culture/past. It can be hard to determine who you are now when there isn't a clear hold on who you or your family was in the past, and this book puts a spotlight on that particular issue.

Good book for families, especially when in those trying moments when everyone seems to be going through their own issues

Apparently, the book captures elements best recommendable to the family relation between parents and the children.

First, to those that love reading storybook, for entertainment. Secondly it will be good for family reading. Though, for me, this type of book is not for me

I wish all these comments were available before I started reading this novel. I had very different expectations, of a book more thriller-oriented, so I got disappointed.

I thought the book was relevant to families and also those who have Irish heritage or are perhaps interested in learning about Irish culture

Lots of you are mentioning that it's a good parenting book and resource for family drama, but would it be insightful for daughters about their mother's point of view?

The target is families. It shows families how to deal with different circumstances and situations people may face as a family and individually.

I'll simply recommend this book to parents and would-be parents, couples and would-be couples. Also, it would be useful to those having issues of past life.
