I really did not like the ending because it lacked that suspenseful act as it was predictable.. But I really liked how the developing story ending anyway!

I thought the same and I want to find out what happened!NetMassimo wrote: ↑04 Apr 2020, 11:12The ending made me think that book #4 will be about Hillary's mother.Lunastella wrote: ↑03 Apr 2020, 13:08 No. But I think it was done on purpose. The book is part of a series and I'm sure that, for example, the mystery of Hillary's mother will be addressed in another novel. I will be happy to read them all!
I would say yes, wrapped up but open for the next book! I love when they do that, keeps me hooked.cpru68 wrote: ↑01 Mar 2020, 12:32 Yes. I thought the story felt complete by the end. Yet, it left the door open for the next book. I have not read the rest of the series, but I found myself easily able to read this without knowing all the rest of the backstory. I generally don’t enjoy books of this nature, but I liked it.
Thank you!NetMassimo wrote: ↑03 Apr 2020, 08:24In the interview you can find here she stated that she's writing book four.
You're welcome. I know that many people are interesting in this series of novels and will be happy to know that it will go on.SunVixen wrote: ↑05 Apr 2020, 04:10Thank you!NetMassimo wrote: ↑03 Apr 2020, 08:24

I completely agree with you about the pace of the novel. I was also hoping for more of a twist ending. The end of the novel seemed too predictable for my liking.NetMassimo wrote: ↑01 Mar 2020, 06:02 Near the end I wondered if I was missing something because the author seemed in a hurry to wrap things up after spending so many pages building things up. After finishing the novel I was curious to see what other readers thought about a pacing that seemed uneven to me. I admit it's not the kind of novel I usually read, so my perception might be wrong.
I agree with you. The author really did an amazing job in doing the wrap up, however, the a few loose ends could have been left intentionally to leave the door open for sequels.Ferdinand_otieno wrote: ↑01 Mar 2020, 01:48 The book has a lot of mystery and subplots in the beginning which made for an amazing story. By the end of the book, many of these subplot and mysteries started winding down. I felt like though not all of the subplots were wraped up to my liking, the author did an amazing job wrapping up the mysteries.
Did you feel that the author did a successful job in wraping up all the mysteries in the book and the subplots?
