Tracing your root may sometimes lead to some truth that we find difficult to swallow. In the case of Hilary, her efforts and method may be quite complicated.

Uncovering your heritage is such a relatable topic to me as my family is from Northern Ireland but I grew up in the UK. It sounds like a really exciting journey for the character.

Did anyone else expect more Irish culture in the book than was given? I hoped for more, but found myself at the end of the nook not knowing much more about the Irish people than I already knew. 🤷‍♀️🏻

Yes! I did like the detail about the lost village, that was excellent. But overall, I felt it was an Ireland learned from the author's own two-week trip to Ireland. I was expecting much more insight, but I think that has more to do with its target market.
