Good for parents and for teenagers: I think that the book serves as a glance into the lives of the other side of the story (into the lives of parents if you're a teen, and into your child's life if you're a parent).

This book is perfect for all age groups; it does not contain any explicit scenes. Moreover it’s about the bond between a mother and her :techie-studyinggray: daughter. It is perfect for a family read as well.

I feel like the book would be perfect as a family read, because it contains so much family values. It's definitely for a more mature audience though.

Hmm, I'm not sure about for families - depends what is meant by 'families'.

Older kids, yes, because some of the themes with murder and death may not be suitable for younger families.

I think the mother-daughter is explored from Hillary's viewpoint (adult) and not from the child. And Hillary's daughter-mother (to her own mother) is certainly an adult take.

I would guess that teens upwards for families.

Uups! I also forgot to add that I think this book is very much aimed at a North American market. Or perhaps better to say non-Irish or non-UK.
