I disliked the end, predictable and straightforward with no details as to how all the misdeeds were carried out.

I loved the relationship between Hillary and Claire. It was so realistic! I agree that the ending was a bit of a let down.Mrunalpatki wrote: ↑17 May 2020, 22:48 I loved Hillary, of course. Inspite of a not so great childhood due to the fact that her mother ran away from her, she aspires to be the best mother for Claire.

It seemed like a complete rush and wrap up.
From all indications, Claire seems like the best.. although I didn't have a favorite character

I disliked the slow pace at the beginning. The story took some time to really get started. The author paid immense care in laying the foundation strongly.

consistently mixed these two thoughts. This combo made so much tension that I found myself incapable to set this book down. I completely had to induce to the foot of what was going on and why. As a result, this story was a speedy and simple examined.

I agree with you on that. The ending seemed to be hasty to me too.
