I have started reading the book and as a Christian I can't count the number of times I have heard this story. However, the book does an amazing job of letting us know more about what transpired. I'd give it a 4 out of 4 stars.

I'm taken by the fact that even though the story of Cain and Abel is a popular one, the author helped fill in the missing gaps. Blending a story as old as time to fit today's world is a real feat. I had to read that portion of Genesis again, and this time, with a fresh understanding. I'll gladly rate it 4 out of 4 stars.

This was posted from a duplicate question that I really loved: would you recommend this book to a nonreligious person? And seeing that I fall into that category I was intrigued but redirected here. But seeing as I learn through stories I'm sure it could still be a good book for me.

I was hesitant to read this book, the Biblical story of Adam and Eve has been written many times. I was worried that it would not be new and interesting, however, I found many of the components the author highlighted new and engaging. The author did a very good job highlighting the challenges of humanity.

I have read this book and I must say it is very intriguing as it sounds, it has helped me to appreciate the original stories in the Bible. I would recommend the book to any Christian who would love to have details of what happened in the book of Genesis.

The plots in Killing Abel has not changed a single context in the words of the Bible, but the author's imagination fills in the gaps which led to difficult acknowledgment to some of the readers of the Bible. I really think this is the book is amazing, that is why I will rate it 4 out of 4 stars.
I could not have said it better! It was a really good book. Filled in the gaps with very plausible events. However, I felt it dragged on in some areas and the author might have gotten a bit carried away with the fictional portrayal of Lamech lol. But all-in-all a good book.

I don't think everyone read the Bible. But who doesn't know the story of Adam, Eve and the forbidden fruit. This book will give you all the answers you need to the who, the where's, the whys, the hows and the when's. I have read the sample of the book and looking forward to reading the whole book. Hoping to get a copy from Amazon soon.
Never stop learning. Read the entire panorama of literature.

I agree. Seeing the author join the dots and filling the blanks out of his own imaginations is definitely likable. The rating is well deserved.
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

You should. The author views the biblical events in a unique but interesting ways. For instance, he seems to view each events positively, including those that we were made to believe we're negative. It won't disappoint.

The author's own twist in the events of the Bible makes for an interesting read. Would definitely love to read this one in the near future.

That is thought-provoking. There are so many Bible interpretations out there, that one that is clearly fictional could really confuse someone.

I am only halfway through the book, and It's a real page-turner for me. I am not a religious person at all and have never read the bible. But love the stories in this book, and feel like I know more about the bible now than I have ever known.
I enjoyed reading about Adam and Eve's adventures and now Cain and Eva as they come to a new land to start a family. There is nothing so far I dislike about Killing Abel.
I would recommend this book to my family and friends.
