I just finished this book. It is a very well written book. All the stories are straightforward. I would give it a 4 out of 4 stars.

It's nice to see how much the book has inspired everyone here to look over their personal and spiritual beliefs. It's good when a book can have such a positive effect.

I haven't started reading the book, but I don't think human imagination can fill any gap in the bible. It would just confuse the more. I am looking forward to reading the book and see how I can rate it

Although most people enjoyed this book, I must confess that I had a hard time getting through the book. I had a hard time believing the storyline that the author provided. Granted, he used his imagination to fill in the gaps, but I found this highly inadequate and unbelievable. In my opinion, the author didn't add a lot to the stories that Im already familiar with from the bible.

All in all, I'd give this book 2 out of 4 stars. I wouldn't recommend it to my fellow Christians because I don't feel it adds a lot to the conversation.

I had a hard time getting the book, couldn't get it from Amazon, but you can download it in a special format under today's BOTD link, and there is information available on how to get the book in the folder you're usually reading from (phone, Kindle...).
I also had a really hard time downloading the book! Anyways, I think the author provides an interesting perspective regarding the Bible. I like how he uses his creativity to fill in the blanks during undocumented periods. I am not an overly religious person, but this book won me over in creativity. I rate it 4 out of 4!
Like many on this forum, I had difficulty getting the book, but once I got it, the wait was worth it. Definitely a 4 out of 4 for me. The piece more or less stays true to the original biblical telling, while adding such depth and interesting musings. I would definitely recommend this book.

I finished reading this book yesterday I personally think it’s a very interesting take on biblical events, I think the plot is very good, and the author did a very good job with the descriptions. Although some of the chapters were a little hard to follow. But all in all it was definitely worth reading and very interesting I definitely would recommend...3/4

Sounds like this book is a must-try. Some of the topics like misogyny and all are generating curiosity.

The author did quiet a wonderful job. Killing Abel is not an ordinary book and I bet it is unique in its genre! The concept is taken from the Bible. The author spiced up the book of Genesis so oddly enough to make the readers overwhelmed during every read.

I Love the fact that, despite the filling of the possible gaps in the book of Genesis; the author did not change the context of the Christian Holy Book.

Personally I think killing Abel do not deserve anything less than 4 out of 4 stars. It is a wonderful Fictional piece that reads Theological.

The little I read in Chapter one makes me rate the book a 4/4 star. I was drawn to the text with just few pages. I feel it's the kind of effect great authors seek to have on their readers. Imagine an elevator pitch where i had less than one minute to pick a book. The book has a good cover page, inviting title, and few lines into the book will prompt most person to get the book.

The story of Abel in the Bible was just grazed through. Having someone go deeper through imagination sounds like a nice thing. I haven't finished it entirely but I know it's going down well.

I read this book very recently and I found it to be very intriguing! I don't see this to be a religious book and hence I feel this is suitable for everyone irrespective of the religion which is being practised.

This book sounds interesting and I am particularly impressed by the how the author took care of not changing a single word from the bible. I really need to get a copy of this book.

I'm not religious so I don't now the original telling of Abel's story in the Bible, but this book seems like a really interesting way to learn an interpretation of it! I'll definitely read this when I can get my hands on a copy.
