I can see it both ways! On one hand, the Garden of Eden was a place where Adam and Eve could live completely blessed, no difficulties or pain. They had essentially everything they needed. On the other hand, being sent out of the Garden of Eden, opened so many possibilities for them, I feel like they were granted with more liberty to choose, feel pain and sadness. All of that gave them, in my perception, a more profound life.

It was a curse in the beginning but came with blessings also. Adam and Eve learnt how to fend for themselves and became creative while at it. It would have been a better world without the Fall.

I must say it's an intriguing question, and in my opinion, I think God sending them out of eden was a good idea, because God always do what's right. God's thinking and ours aren't the same.

I can't say that it was either a blessing or a curse. It was simply the punishment or the direct consequence of their disobedience.

I wouldn't count it as a curse. I wouldn't say it's a blessing either. Adam and Eve were sent away for their disobedience. Their leaving was only a consequence of their action.

God did not sent them out of the garden of Eden in order to protect them. The sending was a result of disobedience of Adam and Eve, and this was just a consequence of their action.

I'm not entirely sure its a curse, though Adam and Eve were chased out due to disobedience. The brought about struggle to survive in humanity which wasn't the original plan.

The curse comes with separation from God and even facing death ultimately.
Is not feeling emotions such as pain and sadness a form of 'enjoyment ' or blessing? I think not. Although I agree that they might have been able to fully appreciate the endless providence and joy they had at that time. And the curse also comes as losing all these privileges they all had.
Live and let live, baby.

I totally agree with you. It was just a direct punishment for direct disobedience. Sometimes, I feel that God wasn't really merciful with the people of the old testament. I believe his mercy is better now because of Christ's death.

I think it's a blessing because if they weren't sent out of garden of Eden reality would be altered a lot. Good wanted man to learn through wisdom and experience that's one of the good things that came from Adam and Eve being sent out.

If Adam and Eve hadn't eaten the fruit that day they would have eaten it some other day.
It's both a blessing and a curse. More of a curse actually.
Remember, we are passers-by in this realm

Sending them out of the garden was not a good thing. It was a consequence of their disobedience and it's telling on all of us today. Had they not eaten the fruit from the tree, there would not have been any possibility of going to hell. There would have been no struggling and suffering to live a comfortable life. So, it was simply a consequence of their actions and we should learn from it.

God casting Adam and Eve out of the garden was both a blessing and a curse in my opinion. God's grace could not let man live forever in his imperfections that they had bestowed upon themselves. On the other side of the coin, it was a curse to be blocked from paradise.

I would like to see this curse that God put on Adam as a kind of blessing. Whatever happens, it's all the part of gods plans. And no where in history, it's noted that the plans of God are for our destruction.
