Abel is indeed a faith hero especially comparing him to his brother. Being able to discern the heart of God and offer an acceptable sacrifice then, having to die for it. Hero indeed.

Abel is a hero of faith indeed. His actions were in alignment with God's purpose and direction.

In as much as I agree on Abel's heroic stance matters faith, I did not find that he was adequately developed, like Adam was. I believe that the book's pedagogic value would have increased if Abel was given more roles and chance to influence the plot development.

I wholeheartedly agree. The whole reason why he was considered a hero of faith was that he actually believed his offering would be accepted, and acted as such.

True all the way. True faith causes man to give back to God selflessly.

Abel is a man who worked by faith. He also has an attitude of giving; to give God a worthy and acceptable gift.

There is a saying that says faith moves mountains. Abel's faith stood the test of time.

I think it was destined to happen, Abel didn't offer God that sacrifice out of self righteous. He is a faithful servant and a hero of faith

I agree it was his faith that made him offer an acceptable sacrifice not self righteousness.

Okay this, I agree with.

Everything one looks for in a hero..he has respect for all people and things. He wanted to please God and not himself. I would have preferred if Cain had "disappeared"

This does make sense.

Abel was a man of faith and deep love for God. That was what prompted his bountiful sacrifice to God.

He was a man who lived out his faith.

Abel was faithful, but I think he should have been portrayed more in this book because the author did not illustrate his faith as much as the rivalry between him and Cain and the repercussions of their actions.
