According to the Christian doctrine, yes. But the book does not portray God as that. It holds human freewill above God's omniscience.

I believe that He truly is. He just seems to have a none interruption policy that gives humanity free reign over most of creation.

I agree with your view. You spoke my mind on this

Though the author portrayed God in another way, I like his perspectives on God being a loving father, but I don't like his perspective on him not being omniscient

I think God is all-knowing. The author's portrayal of God as being astonished by some of the events that occurred on earth caught me off guard. Furthermore, this is only a product of one man's mind.

The author does not portrait God as omniscient but more like a loving Father that acts on what he thinks it's the best way to go but is also concern about the path that his criation is taking.

I don't think God was surprised that things didn't turn out the way he envisaged them. What I do think is that he chose to forgive them, I believe God is omniscient. But if we are to look at the biblical narrations of this story, we will realise that God didn't chase Adam and Eve out of the garden of eden but because of the uncertainty and fear that they might eat of the tree of life and live forever.

Yes I also believe that God is omniscient and though you pointed out that the author didn't potray him this way, I think it's a frictional account.

God is indeed all-knowing and omniscient. I felt a bit uncomfortable about how the author portrayed God because to me He kind of demeaned God's supremacy.

I agree that the author of this book did not base his book character God, as the God of the Bible. In this he poorly portrayed God since it is known in the Bible that are place in eternity is predetermined and known before we ever existed, while in the book God did not know what would happen next. This is incorrect, and the truth is God is omniscient.

It is in cases like this that out Christianity beliefs is being tested. They say man has free will, if he does, does it mean that God knows every single step that man wants to take?

There is no complex answer. The short and simple answer is that, yes, God is omniscent.

This was one of the controversial points in the book. God is and will remain omniscient. He knows the end of everything from the beginning.
